This live set is for the people who like to get lost in a sonic journey of exploration. Even following several favorite artists, it is difficult to cover so much music. Definitely, it's difficult to find the best tracks. As an artist and DJ for over 25 years, my role here is as curator and creator of an experience, a story, a journey. Mixing music is more than playing tracks one after another. It is similar to an orchestral conductor who can bring in elements from tracks and parts of recordings and create tension and release with passages and effects and choose where music will take the listener. This is actually what DJs do. Discover and present music to the public.

About the setup:
Two turntables connected to the Traktor DVS system and two more decks playing 4 tracks most of the time, combining elements to create a story and a dense mix that is more than playing tracks one after another. This is about the art of mixing and for the art of it. Mixing music is an art form, and the turntable was declared to be an instrument. DVS allows the same vinyl record control & feeling without using the actual record, which should stay in the collection in pristine condition. The digital world is bringing as well other options like looping/repeating a certain section, mixing more than 2 decks, fast retrieving of a recording from the collection, and real-time effects and manipulations that were not possible with vinyl-only setups.

Bringing the two worlds together. Spinning the vinyl forever.

Turntables Technics 1200MK2 Silver Limited Edition
Mixer: Pioneer DJM V10-LF
Real-time recording & processing via an analog mastering chain using UAD Apollo AD/DA converters.
Analog Mastering Chain:
SPL Qure Tube EQ, SPL M/S Master, SPL Tube Vitalizer, and SPL DynaMaxx Compressor, Decompressor, and Limiter.
