Biography
Jaroslav Vjalyh, better known as LINJA, is an electronic musician, DJ, and live performer.
Primarily focused on live performances, LINJA also delivers DJ sets, using tracks, loops, and hardware to build and reshape material in real time.
Moving beyond conventional dance music, Jaro explores a wide range of experimental forms. This is evident throughout his discography, where different narratives intersect while his distinctive sonic identity remains unmistakable.
His music is distinguished by captivating soundscapes, combining ambient textures
and evolving melodies over powerful dance grooves, with deep bass and samples of
weird acoustics instruments adding atmosphere to his sound.
Jaro has been active as a DJ since 2006. In 2010, he began producing electronic music and developing a hands-on approach through synthesizers and hardware. In 2015, he launched the LINJA project, touring extensively across multiple venues and regions.
In 2020, he released his debut experimental album on Malka Tuti. His work has since appeared on labels such as Hard Fist, Calypso Records, I’m A Cliché, Serenades, among others.
After a short hiatus, LINJA relocated to Spain. In 2023, he performed at Ombra Festival and Human Razzmatazz, establishing his presence within the local scene. In 2024, he released an album on Solitary Listener, which received strong feedback inside and outside Barcelona, consequent to this he performed at venues such as Garage of the Base Valley for Legwork and Les Enfants Brillants for Pegatina
